Divination is the art or
practise of foretelling the future using different methods that the divinor
may decide. The art of Divination has been practised by all countries,
cultures and religeons around the world for thousands of years.
Purpose: By
looking into someone's future, the diviner or medium can assess the
particular situation and recommend how to respond or deal with it.
Divination is the art or
technique of gaining knowledge of future events or distant states by means
of observing and interpreting signs. Various objects or events may
serve as media of divination.
It is not difficult to understand Man's
desire to have such knowledge. Instead of being at the mercy of the gods,
or of Fate, or of nature, Man would prefer to exercise control over his
destiny - or, if control should not be possible, then he at least would like
some foreknowledge of what awaits him, so that he might better prepare for
the future.
Divination is very much a
part of life in Tibet and continues to be so among the exiled community.
Major decisions concerning everyday life such as marriage or business
agreements are made only after consulting some form of divination. In most
cases, people have favorite lamas who they consult. In nomadic areas where
the sparse population is subject to the whims of nature, divination, signs
and omens are seriously examined.
It was studies over two
thousand years ago in China by the study of cracked eggs for Divination. One
of the most popular forms of divination is dowsing or Radiestesy.
Dowsers believe that
objects, including water, possess a natural magnetic, electromagnetic or
other unknown "energy" they can detect with their senses. To a dowser,
sensing this energy is natural and can be developed through practice.
As humans we are
unconsciously receiving and transmitting energetic information all the time.
The dowsing rod or pendulum is simply an extension of our natural ability to
sense this world of energy and acts much like an antenna as it scans the
airwaves, follows wave patterns, and reads information.
Because energy is not
bound by time or space, dowsing on a particular energy field or substance
can be accomplished remotely (long distance). A dowser can accurately
receive information about
a particular person, place, or time-frame provided he/she is clear
and balanced and not attached to the outcome.
Dowsing is practiced all
over the world. There are British and American Societies of Dowsers, and
dowsers to the last man and woman are an enthusiastic, proselyting lot that
represents a cross section of every profession, trade, and interest in
today's world.
Dowsing was used in times
of war. It was used successfully by both sides during World War II.
The German sea captains used it to locate Allied shipping for torpedoing.
The British Admiralty employed two dowsers during 1939-1945 to map-dowse
enemy harbors for the presence of ships worth bombing. They were successful
75 percent of the time. The U.S. Marines used it successfully during the
Viet Nam war. Its efficacy was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to the
Marine Command, but it was not sanctioned for use. The Marines used it
anyway for locating everything from mines to Viet Cong underground
emplacements. It was reputed to have saved many lives. Obviously the
intelligence behind dowsing was either unbiased or amoral in bestowing war
favors.
WHAT IS
THE ANCIENT ART OF DOWSING ?
Ancient shamanic peoples were highly sensitive to change in their
environment. In the absence of modern technology, they learned to rely
completely on their own powers of observation and sensitivity and on those
of the animals, which were studied in great detail. They knew that
everything had a distinctive energy field associated with it. It is their
methods of finding and reading these fields which have come down to us as
dowsing or divining. Until very recently every locality had at least one
diviner to locate the water lines for wells. These talents were also put to
a myriad of other tasks, from seeking missing animals and resolving petty
crime, to finding lost objects ,minerals and ores. Today, divining skills
are also used in widely varied disciplines, from finding water and searches,
through to allergy testing, homeopathy and medical diagnosis.
WHY IS DOWSING
?
Dowsing give us
a quick reliable method of answering a great many questions. And, although
the divining method is always the same, the information received can be as
wide and varied as you like, since it largely depends on the nature of the
questions which are asked.

It is important to know that
Radiestesy is
not an esoteric kind of treatment, this is a science that has been used for
centuries, the same technique people use to find gold and water under the
ground. This method is becoming very
popular and used by Holistic Therapists all around the world.
